Joe Sester RIP 22 August 2022

61 years with QRS

It is with much regret to tell you all I was told very sad news of the passing of Mr Joe Sester on the 22 August 2022.

Joe, a very dedicated rosarian and his wife Jo joined QRS on 1.10.1961 (61 years ago) .

For many years Joe sold rose bushes at our Autumn and Spring Shows.  He was a commercial grower back in those days - always helping, setting up and unfolding our major shows. Even after he retired from commercial rose growing, Joe still came to our shows, even our monthly shows. Joe was a huge supporter of QRS.

Both Joe and Jo came to the pruning day last June at Ted Hayes and after that went and visited Tony Stallwood at the home, Tony was thrilled. I was fortunate to see and speak to him at our Christmas in July Luncheon at Richlands Hotel.

It is so sad, RIP JOE, you will be greatly missed.
